RIDERS START YOUR ENGINE
Welcome to the St. Louis Scooter Club (SLSC) official website, the only St. Louis scooter club open to all riders. A little background on the people behind the SLSC.
The St. Louis Scooter Club (SLSC) is a not-for-profit club run by volunteers on behalf of its members; all monies raised goes right back into the Club to pay the Club's expenses - such as web hosting, swag, postage and printing costs.
SLSC was founded in the early summer of 2007. With a thriving local community of scooterists, the club initially boasted a dozen members. Today its membership has grown to represent a broad spectrum of St. Louis' scootering riders.
What makes a St. Louis Scooter Club Member
Some of us are in our 20, some in their 40's and others have their AARP card.
We work in arts, retail IT, consulting, health care, education and more.
Some wrench bikes themselves, others leave it to the professionals.
We're married and single, straight and gay, live in the city and the metro St. Louis area.
We respect each other.
We love scooters!! The people, the culture, the rides and we don't differentiate between vintage or modern.
We enjoy all scooters without regard to manufacturer.
We help each other when needed. No one is EVER left behind!
We enjoy all types of rides be it a country or a city ride.
We always ride safe with an emphasis on personal responsibility! We HIGHLY encourage all club members to take the MSF course.
What does St. Louis Scooter Club do?
We participate in events all over the region. We are the host to the annual River City Scooter Rally, presented in St. Louis each year. Even though we all have busy schedules we meet weekly at our official clubhouse Schlaflys BottleWorks. We conduct numerous organized rides and many off the cuff rides or gatherings. We are constantly evolving group with 100% membership input. We build life long friendships and bonds.
SLSC LEADERSHIP: THE FOUNDERS
Ed Reggi - Started his love affair with scooters when he was traveling throughout the Philippines several years ago. Upon returning to the states, Reggi quickly fell madly in love with his baby blue Aprilia Mojito Custom 50cc scooter. After one year of riding it all around the city he sold it only after replacing it with a bigger baby blue Aprilia Mojito Custom 150cc version. Since then Reggi has added a 150cc Vespa and a Suzuki Burgman 400 to his fleet. Ed is a professional actor and producer who originally hails from Brooklyn but today works Internationally. When he is not on stage... wait Reggi is always on stage - SNAP!
Maggie Madonia - Maggie is the Christopher Columbus of our club. She plots and calculates the most spectacular of rides. She used to go everywhere with her Kymco Bet & Win scooter but recently she bought another maxi. "Bella" the new Jet Black Suzuki Burgman 650 addition in her garage. Maggie is an attorney and when she is not dealing with the law she finds herself being pulled over by the law. (She has yet to receive one ticket! We think its her good looks and country charm that gets her off!)
Pete Dunn - Pete loves his days off. He works incredibly long hours at St. Mary's Hospital so when he is not working you will find him somewhere on Bluff Road or Highway 21 heading out into the countryside on his Burgman 400. Pete is a quiet person but don't let that fool you, he is following every word you are saying. Besides his deep hatred of the Mets he just loves to watch his grandson play sports.
Scot Page - Used to own a Popcycle! (So give him a hard time about that.) Scot has graduated and rides an Aprilia SportCity 250cc. Scot is a Videographer for the St. Louis PBS television station, KETC Channel 9. When he is not running around city shooting video images of the riverfront or the upcoming street festival, he spends time trying to convince his wife Julie to get another scooter.
Other people helped start the SLSC and we thanks all of those early members.
